Benediktushaus Im Schottenstift – A Favorite for Families in Vienna

All rooms were partly renovated in 2016 and come with a private bathroom, a telephone, and a basic work desk. Rooms do not include a TV or radio, intentionally supporting the guesthouse's peaceful atmosphere. Each room has carpeted floors, a seating area, and an electric kettle for tea and coffee preparation.

A varied cold buffet breakfast is served each morning, offering breads, cheeses, olives, pastries, yogurts, and fruits. The breakfast room is located on the second floor and guests can eat before the official start time if needed. There is no other on-site dining, but nearby restaurants and cafes are within a short walk.

The Benediktushaus is the in-house guesthouse of the Benedictine Schotten Abbey, a working Roman Catholic monastery with a baroque church. Loud church bells ring from 6 am, contributing to the property's tranquil character rather than disrupting it. Rooms without TVs and radios are a deliberate design choice, and the building's historical architecture includes a spiral staircase and a small elevator.
